What You Need To Register
To register to vote you must be:

A citizen of the United States.

A legal resident of Georgia and of the county in which you wish to vote.

At least 17 1/2 years of age to register and 18 to vote.
You may NOT register to vote if you:

Are currently serving a sentence for a felony.

Have been ruled mentally incompetent by a court.

To register to vote online, you must have:

a valid driver’s license or
-
an identification card issued by the Georgia Department of Driver Services.
Vote Early
Georgia voters have three weeks before Election Day for early voting, including two Saturdays. Your county can also offer voting on Sunday. Runoffs have a shorter period for early voting.

Election Day Voting
You can vote in person on Election Day from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. at your assigned polling place. If you are in line by 7 p.m., you will still be allowed to vote.

You’ll need a government-issued photo ID to verify your identity.
